The 2012 competition ground vehicle was a major milestone for SCOE robotics. This robot marks the first use of composite materials in the construction of our robots. We would like to thank both UW-Milwaukee and North-Western Composites for making this possible. This vehicle is a combination aluminum and carbon fiber construction and can take a beating.
The vehicle is not complete due to the 2012 CARD competition being cancelled. The team decided to keep it in its current state, perfecting the drive train system, and forgo the addition of a launcher and landing platform. With a on-board computer this vehicle is very easy to setup and start driving and has been driven by many members of the community at our fundraisers and MSOE admissions events.
